How much does it cost to re-do a kitchen, rip out a wall to combine a kitchen to living room?
It's impossible to nail down accurate figures on here. Start with structure. Is the wall load bearing? If so, the ceiling must be shored while a header is installed, then it all hast to be drywalled, taped, and painted. What kind of appliances are you looking at? I paid $2700 for a stove, DW, microhood, and refrigerator 6 years ago from Maytag. I'm guessing prices have gone up some, but these were upper end. You can spend less or a lot more, depending on your selections. Cabinets will most likely be higher, depending on how much cabinetry you need, the brand, style, species, and options you select. For the granite, it sounds low, but that depends on how many square feet you need. What kind of flooring are you looking at? How many sq. ft.? You should really talk to a few local contractors. They can ist you in all of the finishes and other design choices. You can save money by doing a lot of the demo yourself. You could conceivably be looking anywhere from $30-80K depending on what you want. Ask for and check references. Compare bids closely. Remember that the low bid is not necessarily the best bid. Hope this helps.
