I have some questions about Gilmore Girls would anyone like to help?

Okay, So i did not start watching Gilmore Girls from the beginning but i have seen all the episodes from all the seasons. What happen to Amy-Sherman-Palladino at the end? Why didnt she do it anymore? Who was the new guy? Is there gonna be a Gilmore Girls movie? and why did the show end so abrubtly?
