Wisdom teeth and dry sockets ?

so i had all four torn out at about 1030 this morning. It went well and im feeling very little pain. Im currently jus taking 600mg ibuprofen because im not a fan of narcotics like vicodin. I have a normal appetite and am eatin applesauce mashed potatoes and sherbert easily with no complications. It barely even feels like i had surgery. Although im aware ill probably be in more pain tomorrow. So back to the question... My wisdom teeth never had a chance to emerge from under the gums and they werent fully grown obviously, so they did not have a chance to develope roots. So am i still eligible to get dry sockets ? A lot of people have told me you wont get it if you never had roots. Jus looking for some helpful answers from people with experience who know what theyre talking about, lol.
