Can a 40 gallon breeder critter cage be used as a turtle tank?

Ok, so I want to upgrade their tank to a larger one but i dont want to spend a fortune. I was wondering if I could just use a 40 gallon breeder tank instead. They are aquatic turtles by the way. if this wont work do you guys have any good places to get turtle tanks? Thanks, God bless.
