I am looking for a series of books about 6-7 kids who live in a post-apocalyptic world and live together. All the adults have been killed off by a disease and most of the kids (aside from the main characters) died from lack of survival skills. Two kids were running around yesterday and they ran into each other and the boy fell down and started crying. I guess that means my thoughts cause others to hurt themselves. That's sad. Written-off means that the company is writing off the debt in there books for tax purposes (so they aren't showing your debt as income). They do that when they don't believe that they are going to collect that money. They will still try to collect and you can still pay it off to show paid on your credit report. in the ER i was given benedryl and low dose prednisone. when i seen my regular doctor he said to continue with those meds and said i was alergic to my hair care products.i discontinued those.a few days later i was back in the ER with unbarable stomach cramps and hives that caused deep tissue pain. there they ran some tests for autoimmune diseases. ulrasounds and ct scans. i was given 2 more meds to take with the other 2 one for pain and one more antihistamine. back at my family phys., he refers me to an alergist but it will be two weeks before he can see me. one more time in the ER, one more medicaton. then one night i fell asleep early on the couch with my 9 yr old daughter under my arm, where i stayed all night untill my 19 yr old woke me in the morning to get them off to school. when i sat up. i couldnt open my eyes and when i tried to stand my feet felt huge my skin was hot all over i felt intense pain all over and i could hardley speak. i fell to the floor and was able to mumble " go tell dad that i am dying " i did not have any itching but was one solid hive from head to toe and swollen from top to bottom. i remember my husband picking me up and running out the door. but was in and out of conciousness all the way to the hospital. where i was given a shot of epi then another and something else in my i.v. and a breathing tube was put down my throat. the nurse never left my room untill i was stable. i had a very severe anaphylactic reaction. they said i was very close to death when i came in. the tought of almost dying with my baby under my arm horrified me to say the least. i left the ER that time with a total of 8 meds and an epi pen. for one week i eliminated foods and soaps, casmetics ect. untill i was down to only crackers and water still doing this along with all the meds i would still get some mild hives daily. then when it came time to see the alergist i couldnt because of all the meds i was on. then the next biggy, it is 5 weeks before i get in to the alergist. and meanwhile my pharmasist has a fit because of how long and how much of one of my meds i was taking. dexamethasone 6 miligrams daily for the last 7 weeks. then when i start asking my doctors about this med and am now having mayjor side effects from. one by one they refuse to see me. one doctor said that his brother was on dexamethasone for 11 days last yr and was taking 0.75 miligrams everyother day and died from the medicine. i had tripled in size, i had a hump on my back, whiskers on my chin, bone pain in my legs, i was loosing my eye sight, i started to get a whole in my stomach i got high blood pressure and now there was concern that my adrenal glands would not function again and that coming off the med could cause heart failure. and a host of other things. like the whole time i was on this med i was at risk of dying from even a simple cold. i am off the dexamethasone now for about 3 months with no major complications have had all my alergy tests and they were all fine. but i am still having to take very high doses of three allergy meds that are very expensive and i need them for the rest of my life. and they barely keep the hives at bay.. all my doctors say its unknown cause.. i am wondering if there is another kind of doctor that may help me. like maybe an edocronologist. there has to be some reason this is happening to me.. my little girl is so scared that i am going to die. she is always worried and asking " did you take your medicine mommy? " i dont want to take all these meds for the rest of my life and live in fear that i will have another bad reaction because i dont know whats causing it. i am only 45 and i have been healthy all my life.

No cramping while on Clomid. Will I still ovulate?

I guess after reading the side effects on so many clomid boards and having heard from my doctor that usually with clomid you feel slight twinges or cramps when ovulation is about to occur. This is my 1st 50mg round of Clomid and im on cd13 and so far I don't feel ANYTHING. No cramps, no twinges....nothing. Does this mean I will not ovulate? has anyone ovulated and not felt anything prior to ovulation? I have started OPKs (2 days ago) and have been negative so far, I will keep up with the OPKs until I Ovulate. I usually have 45-50 day cycles and IF i ovulate naturally I guess it would be around cycle day 30-35 based on when I get my periods. So anyways my question is: Can you ovulate on Clomid without feeling any cramps or any impending ovulation signs??

What else can I do about my crazy neighbor?

We have crazy neighbors who live across the cul de sac from us. We have been neighbors for 4 years now. They have been crazy since we have moved in, but it is getting much worse. This weekend hubby & I were in lawn chairs watching 2 of our children play when the neighbor pulled out a gun!!! We got the kids inside & called 911. The police came and it turns out his gun was a BB gun that looks like a hunting rifle and he said he was wanting to shoot dogs who poop in his yard (there were not any dogs around when this happened). The police said he had been drinking and used poor judgement. Now I am scared to live across from these crazy people. What can I do about my crazy neighbors? I met this girl out of nowhere and I thought she was perfect. When we met I had just gotten out of a relatinship about a month prior and she had also just left her husband of about 3 years togeather for 5. With so many things in common I didnt think i could find anyone else to fit my puzzle so she moved in after only about a month. She has plenty of family here, she had other places to go but we were in puppy love and it felt so good for both of us. Things were good for a while, it was summer time and I ahve never really had a serious girl friend and I like to go out party, drink heavly and have fun. Well after time goes on I drink more and more to a point where she had asked e to stop...I didnt stop. I stayed at a girlfriends house after an argument with her and a long night at work. All hell broke loose. I didnt cheat. However she didnt believe me and the arugument went on and on and still goes on to this day: because I didnt call. Shortly after maybe 3 weeks I did it again but this time I stayed at a buddys house and the friend who I stayed with the first time was there with us. It was also made into a big deal and maybe it is to most women but to me its jsut not a big deal. Im alive, im not doing anything i shouldnt be doing so just let it be... It was a back breaker for me because I havnt had a serious relationship and i didnt want to be told what to do or when to do it. She moved out after a lot of drunk excurisions with and with out me. She didnt want to leave she says but i see why she had to go. I told her to leave for one and I would say mean things when I got drunk. "why are you here?" "I dont love you" "Nothing you say matters to me" things like this are unacceptible and I know that now after being sober for 5 months. For me it was a wall because she was getting under my skin. I love this woman and I am sorry for what I have done. Soon after she moved out we contacted each other and are still in touch because she is pregnate. She moved on to several men only to have with one guy she says and a few dates. What she tells me is completly unbelievable to me because the time line dosnt match up and she did have an affair to leave her husband, she is very capable of lying and cheating. We went on a vacation to the mountains and had a good time with some too. But before we left I asked her if she had been ual with anyone she said no but she had been hanging out with a guy. Me being in love didnt care I can move on from that. Well low and behold the past 5 months she has lied to me and she did have with a guy probally more than once like she says but I dont know what to believe. During this whole time I have been sober, I have bent over backwards to see and talk to her any time i could. She would blow me off to go out drinking with people she wouldnt mention names but i can imagine this guy or guys she would meet out. The day we find out she is pregnate she decides to tell me this. Preterm Labor?

I went to the doctor Feb. 27 and found out that I was already dilated 1 cm and was having some mild contractions so my doctor put me on a medicine called procardia which is a calcium blocker to stop my labor and contractions. Anyway then I was currently 33 weeks and 5 days along now it's been a few weeks and i am currently 35 weeks and 6 days along and I that that I lost my mucus plug the other day and I have a doctors visit comng this Monday and that is when he says that he is gong to take me off bedrest which me put me on at 33 weeks and I was wondering if anyone thinks that he will also then take me off the procardia or would that be to early. It seems to me like he would go ahead and take me off of it or atleast I am really hoping that he will. Can Flash export an animation that uses actionscript in a form other than SWF?

Here's my problem. I made an animation in Macromedia Flash 8, and it uses Actionscript for several things of my animations. I need to edit this animation in another program later, and to do this, need to export it as a PNG sequence. Whenever I export it as a PNG sequence, however, none of the actionscripted animations show up. Is there a way to get these to be exported or a was to efficiently convert my SWF file into a PNG sequence without having to pay 100 dollars for a SWF to video encoding program?

I am a honor roll student and am 11th in my graduating cl of 135 students. I live in a small town in rural machusetts and have always grown up with not too many people in my school. Now that I am applying to college and getting my acceptances I dont know where I want to go. I applied to 5 schools: UM Amherst, UM Lowell, University of Rhode Island, Clemson University and CU Boulder. Initially I had it in my mind that I wanted to stay close to home, and I applied to Clemson and Boulder only because I really liked the campuses and liked their programs. Now that I have gotten accepted to Boulder, however, I have been researching more and feel like I really want to move out west. I feel like I need to get away from new england because I want to experience what the rest of the country has to offer, and i need a new setting. I do not like the campuses of Um Lowell or URI, (i only applied there as backups), so the only close to home school is Um Amherst. I do like the campus, but I feel as though I would have a better time in Boulder... and as for Clemson I have not been accepted yet but I am not sure if I want to go there. However, now that I have my heart set on Boulder, I realized that I can't really afford it. Its roughly 40,000 a year, and they havent given me any money to go there, meaning I'm going to have to apply for tons of scholarships if i want to go. Therefore, I was looking into cheaper schools out west, and found Arizona State University in Tempe and I feel like it is a perfect match. Its cheap enough and has everything I want, however now my parents dont feel like they want to let me go. They keep telling me all these reasons why I should stay in Mass, however I really want to go to Arizona. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Should I do a system restore?

How to overcome being burned out/burnout?

I'm a junior in high school with the top GPA in my cl of 1100 students. However, these past couple months, especially the last one, I have been slowing down a ton. It's difficult for me to concentrate on my work because I feel overwhelmed, and I end up trying to find methods to avoid it (napping, eating, checking my email, etc). I end up pushing my work until late at night and getting to bed at 2:30-4:00 pm. It's getting really ridiculous because I know I could get it done if I start it earlier, and I just feel exhausted and can't seem to get myself to start it earlier. I'm feeling incredibly depressed, lacking self confidence, and feeling a ton of pressure; this is my 2nd semester of junior year, and I'm supposed to get all A's to go to ivy leagues or get scholarships to less prestigious schools. There are 3 six-week periods that factor into the semester grade that colleges see, and in the first period I just got 3 B+'s, staying up way late. HELP?

I would guess that it was maybe a little bit of something that got in your eye. I think with allergies you would have more of an all- over redness/ pinkness and I would guess that you would get it every year. It's great that you took a contact break because that really will help your eye heal and prevent further injury from it rubbing on the eye. I would recommend using the eye drops that were prescribed, they might be a steroid or similar medicine that would help reduce the inflammation in your eye and give it a better chance to heal.

so i had all four torn out at about 1030 this morning. It went well and im feeling very little pain. Im currently jus taking 600mg ibuprofen because im not a fan of narcotics like vicodin. College Student getting ruined by annual taxes. Any Help?...Please?

I am 21 years old and have been an Independent College Student since i Enrolled. I am broke enough to qualify for Pell grants, financial loans, etc.. However, the only way i am able to live (i.e. rent, gas, books, food,so on) is by maintaining a job i have that is a great driving distance from campus. The drawback is that i am a carpenter apprentice, and i am told that qualifies me as an independant contractor as opposed to college student for taxes. While my college buds are laughing about their returns, or the breaks their dad got, i am stuck at home with another $1,000 bill from the government. Is there a tax loophole i have missed, or am i characterized incorrectly? i am entirely ignorant on tax issues, so any help would be so beneficial, i couldnt explain. Thank you.

I wouldn't do it, Shields is an incredibly underrated pitcher. Your starting pitching isn't exactly perfect, so I'd definitely want to keep Shields. You're right in that you could use the RP help, but Dotel isn't exactly a great option anyways. Closers come and go (soon enough there will be a new closer for the Dbacks/Brewers who you can pick up), but it's tough to find a consistent/solid pitcher like Shields. Besides, you have no use for Beltre. A-Rod is a top tier player at 3B, and the guys you can use at utility right now are perfectly fine. I'd rather trade guys like Romero, Penny, or Niemann for some help at RP, I'd wait until one of them has a superb outing or goes on a hot streak, then sell high.

Small spot on my car beginning to fade. What can I do?

There is a small spot on my burgundy colored car that is starting to fade from not waxing my car and protecting it enough like I should be and living in sunny Florida is certainly not helping either. It is approximately the size of a baseball. Is there a way to fix this? It still has the original paint job and I would like to avoid having to have the whole car repainted if possible.

I was forced by the state nursing board to not only attend, but be monitored for my participation in AA/NA meetings as a requirement for being reinstated as an Rn. This included monthly reports by a sponsor who had to address whether I prayed, and professed to a belief in a higher power. I retained a civil rights attorney because I wasn't comfortable being forced to pray outside of my chosen place of worship. I felt a disconnection with God doing that. I think it violates the 1st amendment, but I'd be very interested in what non-fundamentalists believe. Not to slam fundamentalists, but I have those in my family, and I know what their opinions are. I have been dating this guy for about a month now, Everything was quite smooth in the beginning, but now it feels that his behavior is quite the on/ off kind, one min he is nice and attentive, sometimes he just shuts off. The gynecologist did the hysterectomy, another surgeon did the tumor removal from her abdomen and a third surgeon was on stand by just in case. How do I safely remove the edge tile from a backsplash without damaging other tiles?

We recently had a granite tile backsplash installed (4 X 4 tiles) and it does not match up (counter was cut too long) with the edge of the new countertop (which was installed after the backsplash). Dustin used to be the guy I considered as the little dude with way too much energy that lived next door.. Now he has become the only guy I want to kiss and laugh with.. He used to irritate me with the consistency of his blurts of opinions but I would laugh because, well.. they were just funny (most of the time) and he also has no qualms about talking out loud about the issue of , etc.. I am conservative.. I don't throw my opinions out all of the time and I never, never talk about out loud because I don't think ladies should throw the issue around. We don't see eye to eye on very much, he likes the "country, i'm proud to be a redneck" ***no offense to anyone*** and I am "rave going, emo type". We do have similarities that are fundamental, we both work hard in this life, we both care about being a good person. It's like opposites attract hard core.. I don't know if I am going to say anything because I am afraid that he may not feel the same way. My my sister noticed how we act towards each other. She says he likes me, she says that when I am not paying attention, he is looking at me. I got sick the other day and he completely took care of me. He fixes things around my apartment, cooks for me and my teenager and will do anything we ask him to do. I think it may be more about the feeling of family rather then a budding relationship because he moved to OK from MO and has no family. He doesn't like his roommate. He spends a lot of time at my apartment but I think it is mostly because he is not comfortable at his own apartment. We did get a little drunk the other night and he was more affectionate than usual.. I was walking by and he grabbed my hand and made me put my arm around his waist from behind, like I was holding him... ULGH.. it's so frustrating but also exciting.
